Introducing the new editor of Investor Breakout

For those who do not know me yet, I am Fabian Dawson, a Vancouver-based journalist, filmmaker and author with a global news reporting and editing pedigree spanning four decades.

Greetings,

As I sit down to pen this self-introduction as the editor of Investor Breakout, a newsletter designed for both seasoned investors and those new to the financial markets, I'm engulfed in a mix of excitement and anticipation for what’s on the horizon. For those who do not know me yet, I am Fabian Dawson, a Vancouver-based journalist, filmmaker and author with a global news reporting and editing pedigree spanning four decades.

Prior to stepping down as the deputy editor of the Vancouver Sun and The Province, I was awarded the Bruce Hutchinson Lifetime Achievement Award by the Jack Webster Foundation, after a career in the mainstream media which has been recognised with accolades in North America, Europe and Asia.

As the deputy editor, I oversaw the work of dozens of reporters and unit heads responsible for both the print and internet edition of the news operations which covered financial reporting, investigative reporting, local and international news, sports and lifestyle and revenue generating sponsored content initiatives.

Aside from journalism, I serve as a consultant/strategic advisor to a variety of international companies (none of which I will be writing about in this newsletter) and have been invited by the governments of India, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and the United States to act as a media observer/advisor on a variety of Asian-Canada issues.

Over the past 11-years or so, I have also been the editorial advisor to Market One – North America's leading investor marketing agency — working with financial market pros and some of the biggest names in the capital market sector. Here, the narrative skills gleaned from my years in the traditional mainstream media landscape was honed to weave compelling articles around financial data and trends.

My transition to being the editor of Investor Breakout is underpinned by a blend of editorial expertise, ethical journalism, audience understanding, and strategic acumen.

With these qualities, I aim to ensure the production and dissemination of high-quality, trustworthy, and engaging financial content to differentiate Investor Breakout and make it stand out from the crowd.

I am also thrilled to say that since the soft launch of our newsletter earlier this year, which carried information curated from the Investor Breakout Exchange in Bahamas and Whistler, several companies that attended the events have reported spectacular results.

They include American Aires Inc. (CSE: WIFI), a public nanotechnology company which has developed proprietary EMF Modulation Technology that reduces the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation (EMR). The company’s shares were trading at about 30 cents when it was selected as a top pick. Its shares soared over 350% since the Whistler event.

Another top 10 pick, CanAlaska Uranium (TSXV: CVV), was highlighted in the last Breakout Exchange Forum when trading at 50 cents. Its shares have jumped by about 40% over a three week period since the event.
