As we close out the 2025 CEM series of capital market events this weekend, gold keeps shattering records, silver is rising in its wake, and global stock markets are holding near their all-time highs.

It’s a rare and powerful convergence of hard assets and equities, the kind of market alignment that signals major shifts in capital flows and sets the stage for the next wave of portfolio powerhouses.

Ryan Iverson, CEM Partner and Portfolio Manager, says the dual rally of precious metals and critical commodities alongside equities signals a pivotal shift in investor behaviour, reflecting a dramatic change in how global capital is being deployed.

"On one side, safe-haven demand for precious and critical metals is surging as investors respond to geopolitical tensions, currency instability, and questions about central bank independence.
